Welcome to the Lake Cities Fire Department.

The Lake Cities Fire Department is a progressive department located in Denton County.  We serve Corinth, Hickory Creek, Lake Dallas, and Shady Shores.  Our fire district is approximately 30 square miles with a population of about 30,000.  Lake Lewisville surrounds our South border, and Denton surrounds the North border. We currently operate out of two fire stations. Headquarters is centrally located in Corinth.  Future plans include two more stations and a heavy rescue.

This website is intended to serve as a tool for people to learn more about our fire department. If you have any questions or comments please contact us.

News:  January 2008

The Lake Cities Fire Department has recently gone through some major changes.  We are excited to announce that the City of Corinth has assumed ownership of the Lake Cities Fire Department. Hickory Creek, Lake Dallas, and Shady Shores will contract with the City of Corinth for fire protection.  The transition has laid to rest the long standing issue of how to fund the fire department.

In other news:

Jason Collier left the Lake Cities Fire Department in December of 2007.  Curtis Birt has been appointed interim fire chief.
